A student’s grade point average (GPA) is determined by adding all earned letter grade point values for semester grades and dividing this total by the number of credit units attempted. Normally, grade point average is computed to the nearest one-hundredth of a point. The GPA is updated twice a year (at the end of each semester) and is included on semester report cards and transcripts.

It is the policy of Saxony not to rank students by GPA or any other method. This policy is clearly stated in the school profile which is included with every transcript sent. A table of GPAs by group is also included on the profile.
